Oxford University Blues and Roos 2012-13

Annabelle Trotter LMH Ancient & Modern History GA/GS/WA Cuppers & League Sec
Roos Vice-Captain

Annabelle is a finalist. She has previously played netball for club and county and previously played tennis to a very high standard.

Ailsa Keyser Magdalen Chemistry GD/GK

Ailsa, one of our fresher chemists, played for Dorking Ladies before coming to Oxford this year. She has 3 twin sisters!

Becky Waller GTC/Worcester DPhil GA/GS Treasurer
Roos Captain

Becky “young at heart” Waller is studying for a DPhil. She has previously represented the University in Lacrosse.

Charlotte Rogers Lincoln Biochemistry C/WD/WA

Charlotte played netball at school and college before OUNC and was a remarkably chubby baby.

Charlie Warwick Christ Church English C/WD Social Secretary

As social secretary Charlie is basically responsible for every embarrassing thing that any OUNC member has ever done.

Claudia Snudden New Medicine WD

Claudia captained her school team from the age of 11 and was a big contributor to New’s strong Cuppers campaign last year.

Ellie Hargreaves St Peter’s Music WD/GD

Ellie is a choral scholar and puts her vocal chords to extremely good use both on the court and in Park End. She has played for club and county.

Emma McLaren Teddy Hall Chemistry WD/C/GD

Emma previously played NTL for Team South and attended the Team Bath High Performance Extension Centre, whilst also earning a green belt in judo! She forms the other half of the chemistry fresher gang and LOVES equations.

Hannah McKay Ex-Keble Sports Fed President GK/GD Webmaster

Netball grandma Hannah graduated from Keble College last year, and is now Sports Federation President. She was awarded her first Full Blue in 2010 and captained the Blues to another Varsity win in 2012.

Hattie Beaumont Christ Church History GK/GD Secretary

Hattie has been playing netball since the age of six, representing her school, club (Leamington Ladies) and Warwickshire County. This year she has made the step up from the Roos to the Blues team.

Holly Youlden Keble Biology GA/GS President

Organisational queen Holly was awarded a Full Blue following the 2012 Varsity Match.  She has previously played for school, county and Parkside netball club.

Izzy Neville St Catz Medicine GK

Izzy is a 6th year medic from St Catz.  She has played netball all through school and college, including being college netball team captain in her second year. By accident she has more recently become the Team Doctor.

Kari Jackson St. John’s Classics & German WA/C

Kari has returned to OUNC after spending a year abroad in Germany. She played in the Blues Varsity 2011 and is proud to be one of the few fourth years insistent on attending Park End every week in complete denial of being a finalist.

Laura Jenkins Regent’s Park English & Classics C/WD Sponsorship & PR

Laura is a big fish studying at the smallest pond ever; Regent’s Park. She’s fit in all senses of the word.

Layla Guscoth St John’s Medicine GD/GK

Layla is the busiest girl in world, playing for both the Senior England squad and Hertfordshire Mavericks Superleague team.

Libby Stephens Balliol History WA/WD Fundraising

Libby is a historian at Balliol. In her spare time she enjoys doing lots of good deeds as her college Charities Rep.

Liz Murray New DPhil Neuroscience WD/GD

Having played in the Oxfordshire league last year, Liz decided to trial for OUNC this year and went straight into the Blues. In her native Australia she captained her club and state teams.

Lourdes Webb New History C/WD/WA

Lourdes’ height is deceiving – she may be the springiest player that OUNC has ever seen. She played for club, county and school and captained her school team to South East regionals.

Natalie Redgrave GTC Medicine GS

Nat is a 4th year medic. Having converted (we hope permanently) from Rowing, she won a Full Blue in the 2012 Varsity Match and was also awarded Player of the Match.

Nina Lawrence LMH Philosophy & Psychology WD/GA

Nina returns to OUNC having taken a year off netball to focus on her degree. She earned a Full Blue as a fresher in 2010 so we’re very happy to welcome our resident ginger back to the squad!

Rosie Thomas Brasenose PPE C/WD/WA

Rosie LOVES OUNC and played for her school, club and county before coming to Oxford. She also loves making intelligent chat at the Oxford Union but we all know that she likes netball a lot more.

Sarah Godlee St Peter’s Music GA/WA Club & Blues Captain

Sarah is incredibly happy to be playing this year having been injured last season, and we’re glad she’s back! She is this year’s captain having previously played for County and Regional teams and in the 2011 Varsity Match.

Saskia Neuberger Worcester History GS/GA

Sas played for Worcester College before making the step up to the University team this year. Like apparently half the team, she is also a historian.

Sascha Eady Keble Geography WA/C Vice-Captain

Sascha has previously played for Leeds Carnegie, and was involved in the North West High Performance set-up, and more recently for club in the Northern and Prem Leagues. With such a netballing CV it is unsurprising that she is also the most Northern member of OUNC.
