Match Reports: 26th October

Oxford Blues (1sts) vs Nottingham Trent University

With a third win on the trot, the Blues got their BUCS Midlands Conference Cup campaign off to a great start.  Despite the Coach being away, the Blues were able to more than double the score of their opponents; buoyed up by home support  they were unstoppable. The final score was 60-23.

Oxford Roos (2nds) vs University of Nottingham 4ths

It was third time lucky for the Roos, as they got their first win of the season on Wednesday. In previous matches, the Roos have struggled to break the opposing centre pass and often the conversion rate of any interceptions that have been made has been disappointing; this has been the focus of recent training sessions. However, it was a different story this week: Kirsty McCann and Laura Hindley in particular were on fire in defence and some fantastic shooting converted the turnovers resulting in a comfortable 41-29 victory. Roos Captain Annabel Wood was awarded player of the match.
